When an AI role changes, what should stay with the company?

A business should be able to improve or replace a role without losing the approved context that makes its work useful. That does not mean copying credentials, granting new access or assuming that a different system will behave the same way.

Keep the operating context, not a dependency trap.

Useful continuity is not an endless transcript. It is a reviewed record of the facts, policies, decisions and active work a business has approved for a defined purpose.

Job

What the role is for

One described business outcome, its expected output and the person responsible for the next decision.

Boundary

What the role may use

Permitted context, excluded information, escalation rules and actions that stay with a person.

Evidence

What was reviewed

The role version, representative test and limitations that remain relevant to that review.

Work state

What is still in progress

Named active tasks, known blockers and the next handoff point—rather than a hidden dependency on one provider.

A controlled role is easier to review

Describe the outcome. Keep control of the path.

A nontechnical owner should not have to choose a model, map every system or manage a maze of generic agent settings alone. ATACSYS prepares a role and workflow for review around the stated outcome, with visible limits and a named human handoff.

Prepared, not assumed

A proposed role is reviewed before it begins a supervised first scope.

Connected, only with approval

A provider, system or permission is not automatically connected by an operating brief or a Passport.

Scoped, not unrestricted

Context has a purpose, boundary and human decision point instead of becoming a general data pool.

Replacement is a review process, not a silent transfer.

When a role changes, continuity needs the same care as the first scope. A safe path makes the difference visible before permissions or work move.

1. Checkpoint

Record approved context, active work and the exact point at which the handoff begins.

2. Compare

Review whether the new role can perform the stated job under its own limits and evidence.

3. Limit

Move only the necessary context after a named person reviews the purpose and boundary.

4. Decide

Continue, refine, pause or stop based on observed work—not a claim of identical behaviour.

What this means at ATACSYS

Company working context is designed to remain company-controlled and separately scoped. The Passport makes a role's version, stated work, boundaries and evidence reviewable. Neither one automatically transfers credentials, provider access, customer data or authority.
